Soundaviary Basics

What is Soundaviary?

Soundaviary is an online sound library that provides Hi resolution royalty free sound effects and field recordings.

What does Royalty Free mean?

Royalty-Free sounds are a one-time payment – You pay a unique, flat fee, and you never have to pay for the audio again. The name literally means you are exempted from paying royalties, this is, to pay recurrent fees for using a sound. You can use the same sound over and over, in different projects and places, for as long as you want.

What is Synchronization?

Synchronization is the term that describes the way in which the sound effects you purchase from Soundaviary can be utilized within your creative medium. A sound can be synchronized with a visual presentation (the sound of a car door closing timed perfectly to be heard when a car door closes), or with other audio material such as a voice over – as in the case of a radio commercial. When you use the sound effects and field recordings they must be synchronized within a multimedia presentation, film, Web site, game, audio-visual production or broadcast. Licensing
